I’ve known I wanted to work in a design field since high school. After cramming my schedule with art and design classes, I studied design and visual communication at UW-Milwaukee with a handful of business classes thrown in. At UWM I built the foundations of my process, including research, design thinking, and user-centered design. Since then, I have helped startups build and ship products for millions of users from my hometown of Madison, WI. I thrive at the intersection of user experience and visual design, which means I can wear many of the hats associated with the UX field. I believe that understanding users through research should be the starting point of all design work. Using that understanding, I help craft world-class interfaces, establish highly effective visual communication, and assemble intuitive design systems.
When I’m not designing, you can find me out on my local trails backpacking, running, and hiking with my fiance and dog. I also love cooking, reading nonfiction, watching sports and movies, and finding new songs for my many Spotify playlists.
